Recast gives you character creation, video templates and tools to create consistently. Audience growth, views and income depend on your content and distribution; none are guaranteed. Social post previews on this page use fictional accounts and illustrative engagement. Creator rewards depend on eligibility, approval and received campaign payments.
How does connecting YouTube work?
When YouTube publishing is available for your account, connect your own channel to upload finished videos you approve. Recast requests video-upload and channel-read access to identify your channel and check video processing. Your Google data is not used to generate characters or train AI. Disconnect in Publish or revoke access through your Google Account. YouTube publishing is currently in private testing while review is completed. Read our privacy policy for details.
What kinds of characters can I create?
Create original fictional characters or use photos and footage you have permission to transform and share. Recast is for creative entertainment; non-consensual intimate imagery, deceptive impersonation and content that violates others’ rights are prohibited.
Can I explore before paying?
Yes. Browse characters and templates, try the creative controls, and preview source footage. Create and verify a free account first. Choose a monthly plan when you’re ready to generate, then add one-time top-ups whenever you need more credits.
Can I use my own photos and videos?
Yes. Import character reference images and MP4 source clips between 4 and 30 seconds, up to 16 MB. Only upload content you have permission to use. Clear, well-lit references and a visible subject work best.
What happens to the original sound?
Video recasting keeps the original audio and timing. Results vary with the scene and reference images; review your video before publishing it.
How do credits and subscriptions work?
Credits pay for AI creation. A monthly plan adds credits after each successful payment. One-time packs don’t renew. You see a quote before every generation; failed renders return the credits used. Manage or cancel a web plan from Credits & plans.
Can I earn money or schedule social posts here?
Submit finished videos for creator promotions and share a referral link for eligible subscription commissions. Your wallet records verified earnings. Bank payouts require Stripe Connect activation and recipient verification; direct social publishing is not yet activated. Submission does not guarantee publication, views or income.
Is there an iPhone app?
Recast’s AI influencer studio is available on the web. Our separate iPhone photo and video app is submitted to Apple for review; App Store availability will be announced after approval.
